Duphalac Oral Solution Lemon
Product Summary :
Duphalac Oral Solution Lemon is an osmotic laxative used to treat constipation and hepatic encephalopathy. It works by reaching the colon unchanged, where it is broken down into acids that draw water into the bowel, soften stools, and promote bowel movements. In hepatic encephalopathy, it also reduces the absorption of ammonia from the gut, helping lower blood ammonia levels and improve brain function. Common side effects of Duphalac Oral Solution Lemon include diarrhea, flatulence, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. Use with caution in patients with diabetes or those at risk of electrolyte imbalance, and avoid it in individuals with galactose intolerance or intestinal obstruction.Written By Dr. Sakshi Jain, MS, BDS,

Uses of Duphalac Oral Solution
- Constipation : Duphalac Oral Solution Lemon helps soften hard and dry stools and make them easier to pass.
- Treatment of Hepatic encephalopathy
Benefits of Duphalac Oral Solution
Constipation occurs when bowel movements become less frequent, and stools are hard to pass. Duphalac Oral Solution Lemon helps soften the stool and increases bowel movement frequency by drawing water into the intestines. This provides gentle and effective relief from constipation and improves digestive comfort.
Hepatic encephalopathy is a liver-related condition that affects brain function due to the buildup of toxins in the blood. Duphalac Oral Solution Lemon helps remove these toxins, especially ammonia, through bowel movements. This helps improve mental clarity, reduces confusion, and supports better liver health and overall well-being.
