How to use Doxygee Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Doxygee 100 mg Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.
Take this medicine one hour before food or two hours after food, with a full glass of water. You can take this medicine with food if it upsets your stomach.
Avoid Doxygee 100 mg Tablet with dairy products such as milk, cheese, curd, butter, paneer and ice cream.

Doxygee 100 mg Tablet is an antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.

Expert advice for Doxygee Tablet

  • Your doctor has prescribed Doxygee 100 mg Tablet to cure your infection and improve symptoms.
  • Take it with food and plenty of water to avoid stomach upset. Take it while you are sitting or standing, to prevent any throat irritation and do not lie down for at least 30 minutes after taking Doxygee 100 mg Tablet.
  • Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping it early may make the infection to come back and harder to treat.
  • Do not take antacids or medicines containing zinc or iron at least 2 hours before or 6 hours after taking Doxygee 100 mg Tablet.
  • It can increase your chances of getting sunburned or a skin rash. Wear sunscreen and protective clothing when outdoors.
  • Diarrhea may occur as a side effect but should stop when your course is complete. Inform your doctor if it doesn't stop or if you find blood in your stools.
  • Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to conceive or breastfeeding.

Doxygee 100 mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy.
There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
Doxygee 100 mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Driving
Doxygee 100 mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Visual disturbances such as blurring of vision may occur during treatment with doxycycline.
Kidney
SAFE
Doxygee 100 mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Doxygee 100 mg Tablet is recommended.
However, talk to your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease.
Liver
CAUTION
Doxygee 100 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Doxygee 100 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
