DK 50 Tablet should be taken in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. It should be taken with food or milk to prevent stomach upset. Inform your doctor if you have any history of heart disease or stroke.

The most common side effects of this medicine include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, indigestion, flatulence, decreased appetite, headache, and dizziness. Your doctor may also regularly monitor your kidney function, liver function, and levels of blood components if you are taking this medicine for long-term treatment. Long-term use may lead to serious complications such as stomach bleeding and kidney problems.

DK 50 Tablet should be used with precaution in patients with asthma and cardiovascular bleeding. This medicine is contraindicated for the treatment of perioperative pain in the setting of coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctors before using this medicine as it may cause harmful effects to the developing baby.

Interaction with drugs

Taking DK with any of the following medicines can modify the effect of either of them and cause some undesirable side effects

If concurrent use is essential, watch out for bleeding and consult your doctor immediately.

Do not consume Diclofenac with Heparin. If concurrent use is essential, your doctor may monitor your treatment and adjust the doses as per the observations. Diclofenac may increase the effect of Heparin.

It is important to know that DK 50 Tablet may increase your chance of having a heart attack or stroke. The risk is more if you take higher doses and have been using the medicine for a longer time. Also, taking DK 50 Tablet may cause ulcers, bleeding, or holes in your stomach and intestine. These problems may happen without warning symptoms at any time during treatment and may even cause death. Therefore, if you encounter any such problems, consult your doctor immediately.

Can DK 50 Tablet be taken during pregnancy?

You should not take DK 50 Tablet during the last 3 months of pregnancy as it may cause harmful effects on your baby. Use of DK 50 Tablet can also lead to reduced labor (premature delivery). Hence, it is advised to avoid using DK 50 Tablet during the first 6 months of pregnancy also. In some cases, DK 50 Tablet may be prescribed in pregnant women only if the benefits outweigh the risks involved with its use in pregnant women. If not sure, consult your doctor regarding its use.
