How Cool Syrup works
Cool Syrup acts as an anticoagulant by chelating (binding to) ionized calcium in the blood. It reduces the availability of free calcium and temporarily interrupts the clotting process, preventing blood from coagulating during extracorporeal procedures like hemodialysis or blood transfusion. Once the blood is returned to the body, normal calcium levels are restored, and the clotting function resumes.
Quick tips
- Cool Syrup helps in thinning and removal of the mucus (slimy and sticky substance) from the airways, thereby treats various respiratory conditions.
- Measure the syrup with a special dose-measuring spoon or cup, not a regular table spoon.
- Inform your doctor if you have suffered or are currently suffering from any stomach, liver or kidney problem.
- Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding.
