Clindabest 1% Gel

Overview

Introduction of Clindabest Gel

Clindabest 1% Gel is an antibiotic medicine that fights bacteria. It is used to treat acne, which appears as spots or pimples on your face, chest or back. This medicine works by attacking the germs that cause them.

Clindabest 1% Gel is only meant for external use and should be used as advised by your doctor. You should normally wash and dry the affected area before applying a thin layer of the medicine. It should not be applied to broken or damaged skin. Avoid contact with your eyes, nose or mouth. Rinse it off with water if you accidentally get it in these areas. It may take several weeks for your symptoms to improve, but you should keep using this medicine regularly. Do not stop using it as soon as your acne starts to get better. Ask your doctor when you should stop treatment.

Side effects like minor itching, burning, or redness of the skin and oily skin may be seen in some people. These are usually temporary and resolve on their own. Consult your doctor if they bother you or do not go away.

It is a safe medicine, but you should inform your doctor if you have any problems with your bowels (intestines), if you have ever had bloody diarrhea caused by taking antibiotics or if you are using any other medicines to treat skin conditions. Consult your doctor about using this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

How to use Clindabest Gel

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the gel. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.

Hello Doctor, This consultation is regarding my father who has been a diabetic patient for the last 18 years now. His diabetes was always under control and he regularly took two tablets to maintain the sugar level. This was continued till he started avoiding to go to a doctor for a health check up and change in medicines. And then in 2014 his sugar levels started fluctuating s lot. He then visited a different doctor who for some reason started prescribing him a heavy dose of insulin and a bunch of tablet that included Januvia 50, Vogli 0.3, and about 10units of Human Mixtard 50 in the morning and 15 units of the same insulin before dinner. This has been keeping his sugar levels under control but I am really worried about him taking this Insulin every day to keep his sugar level controlled. My question and concern is regarding the same, that can this not be avoided and aren't there any other alternative to taking insulin. He doesn't even have Type 1 diabetes.
