Product introduction

In higher doses, Centron Plus Tablet is also used to control abnormal vaginal bleeding in women who have not attained menopause (end of the monthly menstrual period). This medicine is only taken once a week, either with or without food. The dose and how often you take it depends on what you are taking it for. Your doctor is the right person to decide the exact dose, hence follow your doctor's advice.

It is a non-hormonal medicine with very minimal side effects but in some cases, it may cause irregularity in your menstrual cycle. If this bothers you or appears serious, let your doctor know. There may be ways of reducing or preventing this. Before taking this medicine let your doctor know about all other medicines you are taking as many of these may make this medicine less effective or change the way it works.

Centron Plus Tablet is a birth control pill. It acts by preventing the implantation of the fertilized ovum to the womb (uterus).

Interaction with drugs

Taking Centron Plus with any of the following medicines can modify the effect of either of them and cause some undesirable side effects
Severe

Lorlatinib (Oral Route)

Do not consume Lorlatinib with Centchroman. Lorlatinib may reduce blood levels of Centchroman.
Moderate

Mifepristone (Oral Route)

In case of Cushing's syndrome, your doctor may recommend you to use non-hormonal forms of contraception like, condoms during treatment and for 1 month after stopping Centchroman. Mifepristone may reduce efficacy of Centchroman.
Moderate

Tizanidine (Oral Route)

Watch out for symptoms such as breathlessness, fatigue, drowsiness, sedation, faintness or vomiting and consult your doctor if you experience them. They may adjust the dose of Tizanidine accordingly. Centchroman may raise blood levels of Tizanidine.

Dabrafenib (Oral Route)

If concurrent use is essential, your doctor may monitor your treatment and adjust the doses as per the observations. Dabrafenib may reduce efficacy of Centchroman.

Cabozantinib (Oral Route)

It is recommended to use barrier methods (like condoms), IUDs, or a depot for contraception. Your doctor may monitor your treatment closely and adjust the doses as per the observations. Use barrier methods (like condoms) for contraception to reduce the risk of HIV infection. Cabozantinib may reduce efficacy of Centchroman.

Take the missed pill as soon as you remember. If the pill is missed by 1 or more days but less than 7 days, follow the regular schedule and use an alternate method (e.g. condoms) till the next period. If the pill is missed by more than 7 days, restart the schedule like a new user.
