Centron Plus Tablet

In higher doses, Centron Plus Tablet is also used to control abnormal vaginal bleeding in women who have not attained menopause (end of the monthly menstrual period). This medicine is only taken once a week, either with or without food. The dose and how often you take it depends on what you are taking it for. Your doctor is the right person to decide the exact dose, hence follow your doctor's advice.

It is a non-hormonal medicine with very minimal side effects but in some cases, it may cause irregularity in your menstrual cycle. If this bothers you or appears serious, let your doctor know. There may be ways of reducing or preventing this. Before taking this medicine let your doctor know about all other medicines you are taking as many of these may make this medicine less effective or change the way it works.

• Centron Plus Tablet is used as an oral contraceptive pill. Being a non-hormonal medicine, it has minimal side effects as compared to other hormonal birth control medicines. 
• It is also used in the treatment of dysfunctional uterine bleeding.
• Centron Plus Tablet may cause delayed periods in few women. However, this occurs in about 8% of users, usually in the first three months.
• It is good for women who want an effective, reversible method of contraception (family planning) but not hormonal pills.

• The first pill should be taken on the first day of the period and the second pill three days later. Follow this for the first three months. Starting from the fourth month, take it once a week on the first pill day.
