Swallow Buditas OD Tablet whole without crushing or chewing to ensure proper release of medicine from Buditas OD Tablet in the gut.
Take it at the same time each day to maintain a steady medicine level in your body.
If you develop mouth ulcers or persistent stomach pain, report it to your doctor as these could be early signs of irritation.
Let your doctor know if you are taking any steroids or have had recent infections, as this may affect your dose.
If you are scheduled for surgery or have been under stress, inform your doctor, as your body may need extra steroid support.
Avoid high-fat meals right before taking Buditas OD Tablet, as they can delay how the medicine works in your gut.

Breast feeding

Driving

UNSAFE

Buditas OD Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision, or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney

There is limited data available on the use of Buditas OD Tablet in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.

Liver

CAUTION

Buditas OD Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.
Use of Buditas OD Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease as the data available in these patients is very limited.

Interaction with drugs

Taking Buditas with any of the following medicines can modify the effect of either of them and cause some undesirable side effects

Cholera Vaccine (Inactivated) (Oral Route)

It is recommended to wait at least 3 months after discontinuing a high dose of Budesonide before taking Cholera Vaccine (Inactivated).

Severe

Purified Vi Polysaccharide Typhoid Vaccine (Injection Route)

It is recommended to wait at least 3 months after discontinuing a high dose of Budesonide before taking Purified Vi Polysaccharide Typhoid Vaccine.

Severe

Ceritinib (Oral Route)

Ceritinib may raise blood levels of Budesonide. Ceritinib may raise blood levels of Budesonide.

Severe

Posaconazole (Oral Route)

Do not consume Budesonide with Posaconazole. If concurrent use is essential, watch out for symptoms such as moon-face, flushing, increased bruising or acne and consult your doctor if you experience them. They may adjust the dose of Budesonide accordingly. Posaconazole may raise blood levels of Budesonide.

Buditas OD Tablet, being a steroid, tends to decrease bone density, but this is usually seen in patients who take Buditas OD Tablet in high doses and for a very long time. Take Buditas OD Tablet as per the doctor’s advice to decrease the chances of developing decreased bone density.

What if I forget to take a dose of Buditas OD Tablet?

If you forget a dose of Buditas OD Tablet, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take the next scheduled dose in the prescribed time. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed one as this may increase the chances of developing side effects.

Does Buditas OD Tablet weaken the immune system?

Buditas OD Tablet may weaken the immune system; however, it is more common in people who take Buditas OD Tablet orally (tablet or capsule).
