Bucelon 2 Tablet is used in the treatment of some cancers of blood like chronic myeloid leukaemia. It is used in combination with other cancer medicines during hematopoietic progenitor cell transplantation (HPCT). It may also be used to treat some other types of cancer.
Bucelon 2 Tablet can be taken with or without food, but better to take it at the same time every day. Your doctor will decide what dose is necessary and how often you need to take it. This will depend on what you are being treated for and may change from time to time. You should take it exactly as your doctor has advised. Taking it in the wrong way or taking too much can cause very serious side effects. It may take several weeks or months for you to see or feel the benefits but do not stop taking it unless your doctor tells you to.
The most common side effects of this medicine include decreased blood cells (red cells, white cells, and platelets), nausea, vomiting, and loss of appetite. If these bother you or appear serious, let your doctor know. There may be ways of reducing or preventing them.
Inform your doctor if you have a medical history, of bleeding disorders, heart or liver disease, radiation treatment or any infection. Many other medicines can affect, or be affected by, this medicine so let your doctor know all medications you are using. Inform your doctor immediately if you notice unusual bruising or bleeding or if you have dark, tarry, or bloody stools and sore throat. This medicine is known to reduce the number of blood cells in your blood thereby, increasing the susceptibility to infections. Regular blood tests are required to check your blood cells along with kidney, liver and heart function during treatment with this medicine. The use of effective contraception by both males and females during treatment is important to avoid pregnancy.

Blood cancer, also called leukemia, is a cancer of the blood-forming tissues, that decreases the body's ability to fight infection. Bucelon 2 Tablet kills or stops the growth of cancer cells and also prevents the multiplication of cancer cells. It is a potent and very toxic medicine and you should discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. You should avoid drinking alcohol while having this treatment and drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.
Side effects of Bucelon Tablet
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

How to use Bucelon Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Bucelon 2 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How Bucelon Tablet works
Bucelon 2 Tablet is an anti-cancer medication. It works by damaging the genetic material (DNA and RNA) of the cancer cells. This stops their growth and multiplication.

Breast feeding

Bucelon 2 Tablet is unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Data suggests that the drug may cause toxicity to the baby.
Driving

It is not known whether Bucelon 2 Tablet alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
Kidney
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Bucelon 2 Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Bucelon 2 Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Liver

What if you forget to take Bucelon Tablet?
If you miss a dose of Bucelon 2 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
