Biospan 10mg Tablet

Biospan 10mg Tablet should be taken on an empty stomach or at least 30-60 minutes before a meal. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor.  This medicine should be taken at the same time each day to get the maximum benefit. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you are also prescribed with antacids, then maintain a gap of at least 1 hour between two medicines. 

Constipation, dryness in the mouth and headache are some common side effects of this medicine. Most of these usually go away within a short time. If you are bothered by them or they go on for longer, talk to your doctor or nurse. It is advisable to stay hydrated or drink plenty of fluids to overcome mouth dryness and headache.  You should not drive if this medicine makes you feel dizzy. 

Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have a history of liver or kidney disease or have history of ulcerative colitis. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor before taking this medicine. Let your doctor know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by, this medicine.

• Biospan 10mg Tablet is used to treat stomach and intestinal disorders, like peptic ulcer disease and irritable bowel syndrome.
• Before taking Biospan 10mg Tablet, inform your doctor if you have urination problems, an enlarged prostate, a stomach or bowel obstruction (including paralytic ileus), GERD, or severe ulcerative colitis.
• Avoid taking antacids at the same time you take Biospan 10mg Tablet. Antacids can make it harder for your body to absorb Biospan 10mg Tablet. If you use an antacid, take it after 2 hours of taking Biospan 10mg Tablet.
• Avoid becoming overheated or dehydrated during exercise and in hot weather. Biospan 10mg Tablet can decrease sweating and you may be more prone to heatstroke.
• Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant.
• It may not be safe to breastfeed while using this medicine. Ask your doctor about any risk.
