Product introduction

Bempotol 180mg Tablet is used in combination with other medicines that lower cholesterol levels, such as statins. It may be taken with a meal or on an empty stomach. You can take it at any time of the day, but try to take it at the same time each day.


Most people with high cholesterol do not feel ill, but if you stop taking this medicine, your condition could worsen. This may lead to your cholesterol levels rising again and increasing your risk of heart disease and stroke.


It is important to have cholesterol levels checked regularly. Bempotol 180mg Tablet is only one part of the treatment program, which should also include a healthy diet, regular exercise, smoking cessation, moderation of alcohol intake, and weight reduction. Eat normally while taking this medicine, but try to avoid foods high in fat.


The most common side effects of this medicine include respiratory tract infections, muscle spasms, back pain, pain in the shoulder, legs, or arms, stomach pain, anemia, and increased liver enzymes. Do not consume Bempedoic acid with Pravastatin. If concurrent use is essential, watch out for symptoms such as muscle aches, tenderness or weakness and consult your doctor if you experience them. Bempedoic acid may raise blood levels of Pravastatin.

Simvastatin (Oral Route)

Do not consume Bempedoic acid with Simvastatin. If concurrent use is essential, watch out for symptoms such as muscle aches, tenderness or weakness and consult your doctor if you experience them. Bempedoic acid may raise blood levels of Simvastatin.

HDL or high-density lipoprotein is also called good cholesterol because it carries cholesterol from your blood to your liver to be removed. This reduces the risk of heart disease.
You can book a lipid profile test with any accredited laboratory. This test helps you monitor your total cholesterol, LDL levels, HDL levels, triglycerides, and the ratio between cholesterol and HDL. You may need to fast for a period of 10-12 hours before giving your blood sample for this test. After receiving your test report, consult a doctor to help you evaluate the test results.
