Azcre 500mg Tablet is an antibiotic used to treat various types of infections of the respiratory tract, ear, nose, throat, lungs, skin and eye in adults and children. It is also effective in typhoid fever and some sexually transmitted diseases like gonorrhea.
Azcre 500mg Tablet is a broad-spectrum type of antibiotic effective in killing many types of gram-positive bacteria, some types of gram-negative bacteria and other microorganisms. This medicine is taken orally, preferably either one hour before or 2 hours after a meal. It should be used regularly at evenly spaced time intervals as prescribed by your doctor. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping the medicine too early may lead to the infection returning or worsening.
Inform your doctor if you have any previous history of allergy or heart problems before taking this medicine. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before using this medicine. Commonly seen side effects seen with this medicine include diarrhea, nausea, pain in the abdomen and vomiting. These are usually temporary and subside with the completion of treatment. Generally, it is recommended that patients taking Azcre should avoid taking any antacid with this medicine as this can affect the overall effectiveness of Azcre. It is also recommended to avoid exposure to sunlight or tanning bed as Azcre increases the risk of sunburn.

Azcre is an effective antibiotic which is used for the treatment of many bacterial infections. Compared to other antibiotics, Azcre has a longer half life which means that it stays in the body for a long time because of which it is given once a day and for short span of time. Other antibiotics comparatively have a shorter half life and are usually given twice, thrice or four times a day.
Q. Can you get a yeast infection from taking Azcre?
Some people may get a fungal or yeast infection known as thrush after taking Azcre. Antibiotics such as Azcre can kill the normal or ‘good bacteria’ of your intestine which are responsible to prevent thrush. You should inform your doctor if you get a sore or vaginal itching or discharge. Also inform your doctor if you get white mouth or tongue after taking Azcre or soon after stopping it.
