Overview

Introduction

Aurox 15mg Tablet is an antibiotic used to treat various types of bacterial infections. It is effective in resolving most infections of the respiratory tract, ear, nose, throat, lungs and skin. It stops the growth of infection causing bacteria and thus resolves the symptoms.

Aurox 15mg Tablet should be taken orally on an empty stomach. It should be used regularly at evenly spaced time intervals as prescribed by your doctor. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping the medicine too early may lead to the infection returning or worsening.

Commonly seen side effects seen with this medicine include nausea, vomiting, pain in the abdomen and diarrhea. These are usually temporary and subside with the completion of treatment. Consult your doctor if these side effects do not resolve or persist for a longer duration.

Inform your doctor if you have any previous history of allergy or heart problems before taking this medicine. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before using this medicine.

Aurox 15mg Tablet is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.
Driving
UNSAFE
Aurox 15mg Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Kidney
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Aurox 15mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Aurox 15mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
CAUTION
Aurox 15mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Aurox 15mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

What if you forget to take Aurox Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Aurox 15mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
