Amoxydic PC 250mg Injection works by stopping the growth of bacteria, which helps to resolve the underlying infection and improve your symptoms. It is given as a drip (intravenous infusion) or as an injection directly into a vein or a muscle under the supervision of a healthcare professional. This medicine should be used regularly at evenly spaced intervals as per the schedule prescribed by your doctor.

Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping the medicine too early may lead to the infection returning or worsening. The total duration of treatment and precise dosage will be decided by your doctor, depending on the type of infection that you have and how well you respond to the medication. It is effective in both adults and children.

Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you are allergic to penicillin or any penicillin-type of medicine. Rash, vomiting, allergic reactions, nausea, diarrhea and local pain, swelling or redness at the site of injection may be seen as side effects in some patients. Kidney

CAUTION

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED

Amoxydic PC 250mg Injection is safe to use in patients with liver disease. No dose adjustment is recommended.
However, regular monitoring of liver function tests is recommended during prolonged therapy.

Interaction with drugs

Taking Amoxydic with any of the following medicines can modify the effect of either of them and cause some undesirable side effects

Severe

Cholera Vaccine (Inactivated) (Oral Route)

Do not consume Cholera Vaccine (Inactivated) two weeks before and at least 10 days after consuming Amoxycillin. Please consult your doctor. Amoxycillin may reduce the efficacy of Cholera Vaccine (Inactivated).

Severe

Purified Vi Polysaccharide Typhoid Vaccine (Injection Route)

Amoxycillin may reduce the efficacy of Purified Vi Polysaccharide Typhoid Vaccine. Amoxycillin may reduce the efficacy of Purified Vi Polysaccharide Typhoid Vaccine.

Moderate

Diclofenac (Oral Route)

No action is required. Amoxycillin may reduce blood levels of Diclofenac and its active form.

Moderate

Diclofenac (Injection Route)

No action is required. Amoxycillin may reduce blood levels of Diclofenac and its active form.

Moderate

Mycophenolate mofetil (Oral Route)

Your doctor may monitor the effects of Mycophenolate mofetil along with your overall treatment and adjust the doses as per the observations. Amoxycillin may raise blood levels of Mycophenolate mofetil.
