On July 29, 1904, India’s aviation pioneer, a highly successful businessman, and a true visionary, JRD Tata, was born. Affectionately known as a “man of the masses,” JRD Tata made significant societal contributions, leaving a remarkable legacy. Each year, in honor of his extraordinary achievements, Tata Group companies join hands to celebrate the life and vision of this great leader on his birth anniversary.
At Tata 1mg Labs, we are excited to announce the launch of our “Anemia Screening Campaign” this year. Our primary goal is to raise awareness about the importance of timely testing to combat the detrimental effects of anemia on affected patients. As part of this initiative, we provide 10,000 free screening tests to underprivileged women and children. With a dedicated team of highly skilled phlebotomists, expert pathologists, and microbiologists, we guarantee safe home sample collection and ensure the delivery of accurate reports

Why is Anemia Screening Essential?
Anemia is caused by low hemoglobin levels or red blood cell (RBC) counts. It is a highly prevalent condition that impacts nearly one-third of the global population. As age advances, the prevalence of anemia tends to rise, with women of reproductive age, pregnant women, and the elderly particularly susceptible*. For the same reason, one of India’s largest healthcare platforms, comprising e-pharmacy, e-diagnostics, and e-consult services, Tata 1mg, is pioneering this campaign for people in need. Based on cumulative data of three months, Tata 1mg has revealed that hemoglobin deficiency is widespread among women of various ages and socio-economic backgrounds. Astonishingly, approximately 31% of individuals between 0 to 14 years old and 43% of those aged over 45 also show indications of anemia.
We at Tata 1mg Labs pledge to collaborate with multiple NGOs to ensure the campaign reaches those in need and aim to conduct Anemia screening tests through camps held across multiple cities over the next two quarters.

Our Anemia Awareness Campaign is a homage to the revered values set by JRD Tata and his endeavors to give back to society. Through this inspiring initiative, we aspire to contribute to a healthier nation, fulfilling its promise of making healthcare accessible, affordable, and understandable.
