Here are important tips that you should follow in case of diarrhea:
-Rest as much as possible.
-Drink lots of fluids in the form of water, ORS , curd, probiotic yoghurt , coconut water, lemon water.
-Consuming fruits like apple, pomegranate may be helpful.
-Eat light meals like dal rice, curd rice, khichdi.
-Avoid milk, butter milk, spicy foods, alcohol, and caffeine.
-Do not eat uncooked or uncovered food e.g. raw sandwich for 3-5 days.
–Visit your doctor for persistent, painful, bloody diarrhea or of there is blood in stools, severe stomach aches and persistent high grade fever (>101 oF).
