How to use Zivast-F Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Zivast-F Tablet is to be taken with food.
How Zivast-F Tablet works
Zivast-F Tablet is a combination of two lipid-lowering medicines: Atorvastatin and fenofibrate. Atorvastatin prevents your body from making "bad" cholesterol (LDL) while fenofibrate works by lowering the levels of triglycerides in your blood. Both raise the levels of “good” cholesterol (HDL).
Zivast-F Tablet related warnings
Zivast-F Tablet is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Human and animal studies have shown significant adverse effects on the foetus. Please consult your doctor.
Zivast-F Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Zivast-F Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Zivast-F Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Zivast-F Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Zivast-F Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.

Q. Can the Zivast-F cause liver damage?
Zivast-F contains Atorvastatin and Fenofibrate. A very rare (1 in 10000 patient) side effect of this medicine is liver damage. Use of this medicine should be avoided in patients with the underlying liver disease. Contact your doctor immediately If you notice any early signs and symptoms of liver damage such as fever, rash, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, stomach pain, dark urine, yellow skin or eyes, or abnormal live enzymes.
Q. Can the Zivast-F cause muscle pain?
Yes, Zivast-F is known to cause muscle pain by injuring muscle. Talk to your doctor as soon as possible if you are experiencing muscle pain, weakness or muscle cramps. It can be a sign of muscle injury due to Zivast-F.
Q. What are the lifestyle changes to adapt while taking Zivast-F?
Making lifestyle changes can boost your health while taking Zivast-F. Stop smoking, as it lowers your risk of having heart attack and stroke. If you are overweight or obese: try to lose weight.
