Zivast-F Tablet


Overview

Introduction

Zivast-F Tablet is a medicine used to treat high cholesterol. Zivast-F Tablet is a combination of two medicines that reduces "bad" cholesterol (LDL) and triglycerides (fats) levels. It may also reduce risk of future heart attack and stroke.

Lifestyle changes like low-fat diet, exercise and not smoking may help Zivast-F Tablet to work better. This medicine should be taken with food at a fixed time. Stomach pain, muscle pain and constipation are some side effects associated with this medicine.

How Zivast-F Tablet works

Zivast-F Tablet is a combination of two lipid-lowering medicines: Atorvastatin and fenofibrate. Atorvastatin prevents your body from making "bad" cholesterol (LDL), while fenofibrate works by lowering the levels of triglycerides in your blood. Both raise the levels of “good” cholesterol (HDL).

Zivast-F Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.

Monitor temperature of Patient. If Patient has fever place a cool, damp washcloth on your child's forehead. Give your Patient a lukewarm tub bath or a sponge bath. Give a sponge bath as follows: - ? Use lukewarm water [90?F (32.2?C) to 95?F (35?C)]. Do not use cold water, ice, or rubbing alcohol, which will lower the child's body temperature too quickly. ? Sponge for 20 to 30 minutes. ? Stop if the child starts to shiver. If your child doesn't like the sponge bath or doesn't feel better after the bath, there is no need to give another one. You can use paracetamol also along with above measures to control fever till you consult Dr. will determine underlying disorders by clinical examination which range from mild conditions to the most serious of bacterial and viral illnesses and will prescribe medicines accordingly. Advice given without doing clinical examination can be imperfect or some time harmful to patient.
Total cholesterol and Triglycerides are very high. How to control that and pls prescribe me some medicine

Q. Can Zivast-F cause liver damage?

Zivast-F contains Atorvastatin and Fenofibrate. A very rare (1 in 10000 patient) side effect of this medicine is liver damage. Use of this medicine should be avoided in patients with underlying liver disease. Contact your doctor immediately if you notice any early signs and symptoms of liver damage. These symptoms may include fever, rash, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, stomach pain, dark urine, yellow skin or eyes, or abnormal liver enzymes.

Q. Can Zivast-F cause muscle pain?

Yes, Zivast-F can cause muscle pain by injuring the muscles. Talk to your doctor as soon as possible if you experience muscle pain, weakness or muscle cramps. It can be a sign of any muscle injury caused due to Zivast-F.

Q. What lifestyle changes should be adopted while taking Zivast-F?

Making lifestyle changes can boost your health while taking Zivast-F. Stop smoking, as smoking increases your risk of having a heart attack and stroke. If you are overweight or obese, try to lose weight. You should maintain a healthy diet by including fruits and vegetables in your meals. Regular exercise can make your heart strong and decrease your risk of heart attack.
