Zerofen 100mg Tablet is a pain-relieving medicine. It is used to treat conditions such as painful flare-ups of rheumatism, arthritis, strained muscles and tendons, and gout. It also used to treat other painful conditions of the bone or muscle and pain and inflammation following orthopedic surgery.

Zerofen 100mg Tablet should be taken with food to avoid stomach upset and reduce side effects. In general, you should try to use the smallest amount necessary to control your symptoms, for the shortest possible time. You should take this medicine regularly while you need it. Try not to miss doses as it will become less effective if you do.

The common side effects of this medicine include vomiting, stomach pain, nausea, and indigestion. If any of these side effects do not resolve with time or get worse, you should let your doctor know. Your doctor may be able to suggest ways of preventing or reducing the symptoms.

Zerofen 100mg Tablet is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAIDs). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause fever, pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).

Zerofen 100mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.
Regular monitoring of kidney function test is advised while you are taking this medicine. Use of Zerofen 100mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.

There is limited data available on the use of Zerofen 100mg Tablet in patients with liver disease.

Does Zerofen 100mg Tablet raise blood pressure?

In a few cases, Zerofen 100mg Tablet may cause an increase in blood pressure. Before taking Zerofen 100mg Tablet, you should inform your doctor if you have high blood pressure. Also, inform your doctor about the medicines that you might be taking for it. Doctors prescribe this medicine to people with high blood pressure only if the benefits outweigh the risks. In fact, patients with uncontrolled blood pressure should be very careful and should regularly monitor their blood pressure while on Zerofen 100mg Tablet.

What happens if you take Zerofen 100mg Tablet on an empty stomach?

Taking Zerofen 100mg Tablet on an empty stomach may cause nausea, vomiting, upset stomach, burning sensation in food pipe, and stomach pain. Therefore, Zerofen 100mg Tablet should be taken with a glass of water either with meals or just after meals. Your doctor may also recommend taking an antacid with Zerofen 100mg Tablet to avoid stomach upset.

Can you drink alcohol with Zerofen 100mg Tablet?

If you are taking high doses of Zerofen 100mg Tablet or a long-term treatment or both, then you should restrict or avoid alcohol. The reason being, taking both of them together increases your chances of ulcers and bleeding. It may also result in holes in the stomach and intestine (gastrointestinal perforation). These are serious side effects of Zerofen 100mg Tablet which may be life-threatening. Discuss with your doctor if you are not sure.

Can I take Zerofen 100mg Tablet during pregnancy?

Avoid taking Zerofen 100mg Tablet during pregnancy as it may put your pregnancy and your unborn baby at risk. There have been reports of miscarriage and defects in the heart of the baby. But, if it is necessary to take it, then your doctor may prescribe a low dose for the shortest duration. This is applicable for the first 6 months of pregnancy. Zerofen 100mg Tablet should not be given during the last 3 months of pregnancy as it may cause various defects in the baby and may also prolong labor.

Can Zerofen 100mg Tablet make you sleepy?

Yes, Zerofen 100mg Tablet may cause sleepiness. It may also cause dizziness, visual disturbances, drowsiness, fits, and spinning sensation. Do not drive or operate heavy machinery if you experience these symptoms. Consult your doctor if you are not sure.

How long can you take Zerofen 100mg Tablet?

Take Zerofen 100mg Tablet only as long as advised by your doctor. Do not take it for longer than the recommended period of time. Long-term treatment with Zerofen 100mg Tablet and at high doses can cause an increased risk of heart attack, stroke, ulcers, bleeding, or holes in the stomach and intestine. These symptoms can occur at any time without warning.
