Biotin(1 mg)


Biotin is a water soluble B-complex vitamin needed for normal growth and development of skin and hair and maintenance of a healthy nervous system and bone marrow. It is used to prevent and treat biotin deficiency associated with pregnancy, long-term tube feeding, malnutrition, and rapid weight loss. It is also used orally for hair loss, brittle nails, skin rash in infants (seborrheic dermatitis), diabetes, and mild depression. 

How it works

Biotin is a component of important enzymes involved in breakdown and utilization of carbohydrates, fats and proteins. It is also known to be involved in important DNA processes.

Finasteride is used to relieve symptoms of elarged prostate gland (benign prostatic hyperplasia or BPH). It is also used for treatment of male pattern hair loss (androgenetic alopecia).

How it works

Finasteride belongs to class of medications called 5-alpha reductase inhibitors. It acts by inhibiting conversion of testosterone into the more potent androgen, dihydrotestosterone. This leads to reduction in prostate size, with improvement in urinary flow rate and in obstructive symptoms. It also reduces androgen activity in the scalp that stops hair growth.
