General Information

Product introduction
The effect of Vilmist Capsule may be noticeable after a few days but will only reach its maximum after a few weeks. This medicine must be used regularly for it to show its effect, so take it even if you don't have any symptoms. If you stop taking it before the prescribed duration, your asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (COPD) may worsen. It should not be used to relieve sudden asthma attacks. If an asthma attack occurs, use your quick-relief inhaler (reliever). To get the most benefits from this medicine, make sure you get your inhaler technique right; otherwise, the medicine won’t work well.
The most common side effects of Vilmist Capsule are nasopharyngitis, upper respiratory tract infection, headache, fever, back pain, pneumonia, sinusitis, and cough. You can prevent some of these symptoms by rinsing your mouth and throat with water or brushing your teeth after using your inhaler. There are other, rarer side effects that can be serious. Talk to your doctor if you're worried about them. In general, try to avoid situations which make your asthma worse (your triggers), and do not smoke.
Ask your doctor whether it’s safe to take this medicine if you're pregnant or breastfeeding. Before taking it, tell your doctor if you have any kidney or liver diseases so that they can prescribe a suitable dose for you.
Uses of Vilmist Powder for Inhalation
Benefits of Vilmist Powder for Inhalation
Asthma is a condition in which the airways become inflamed and narrow, making breathing difficult. Vilmist Capsule helps reduce airway inflammation and keeps the airways relaxed, making breathing easier. Regular use helps control symptoms such as wheezing and shortness of breath and supports better day-to-day breathing control.
Vilmist Capsule helps the airways in your lungs to stay open. It relaxes the muscles of these airways. This makes it easier for air to get in and out. It relieves symptoms of COPD, such as tightness in your chest, shortness of breath, wheezing, and coughing, and helps you carry out your daily activities more easily. This medicine is safe and effective. It usually starts to work within a few minutes and the effects can last up to several hours. Do not stop using it unless you are advised to by the doctor.

Quick tips
- Vilmist Capsule ‘dampens down’ inflammation in the lungs to provide long-term (maintenance) treatment of asthma and prevent disease progression.
- Vilmist Capsule will not work for an ongoing asthma attack. Use your rescue inhaler to control sudden difficulty in breathing.
- Learn the correct technique of using metered dose inhalers (MDI) and dry powder inhalers (DPI) to ensure that the right amount of medication reaches your lungs, and side effects are minimized.
- Gargle with warm water after each inhalation to avoid any fungal infections in your mouth and throat.
- Take it at the same time every day to prevent asthma attacks.
- Do not open and close the cover unnecessarily as you will lose the medicine.
- Never breathe out into the mouthpiece.
- Only minuscule amounts of Vilmist Capsule may get absorbed into the bloodstream after inhalation. Hence, serious side effects such as weight gain are unlikely.
