First get your BP checked, your liver function and kidney function done. If they are normal then there is no need to worry about oedema. It's normal to have oedema during pregnancy provided all the tests are fine
Normally Delivered a 4.5kg baby on 8th September. Having sever bilateral edema on legs. Blood transfusion was done on 9th September bcoz of 6.5gm Hb. Now having distended abdomen (may b because of enlarged uterus) and burning micturition and persistent bilateral edema. Sometimes Hematuria also occurs. What to do now.
Dr. Suman Rao
Gynaecologist
Get your urine routine and culture sensitivity done to rule out infection. Get an ultrasound done to rule out any collection in the abdominal cavity. The oedema could've because of anemia as your HB was 6.5 or it could be because of redistribution of fluid after delivery. Wait for some time ( a week) and see if it's getting better otherwise consult a physician.

Hello, greetings from 1mg.com Edema in lower limbs can be caused by involvement of any system like kidneys, heart, liver etc Since u r saying patient is normotensive, lft n kft are normal so you have to rule out cardiac causes get a ecg n echo done after consulting with ur physician before that it is imp to look for local causes since history says 10 days back patient was normal Moreover, if all systems are found normal then nothing to worry Jus take adequate rest, keep pillows below ur ankle while sleeping or elevate foot end of ur bed(dont do it if u have heart problem) Dont sit idle with legs in dependent position for long time
