Some common side effects of this medicine include rash, weakness, nausea, edema, loss of appetite, anemia, increased glucose level in the blood,  increased blood lipid level, and increased alkaline phosphatase level in blood. If any of the side effects persist or bother you, consult the doctor immediately. Inform the doctor immediately if you experience any allergic reactions such as rash, shortness of breath, coughing, and swelling.

Before taking this medicine, it is important to consult your doctor if you have any ongoing medication for any underlying disease. Pregnant and breastfeeding women must inform the doctor prior to the initiation of this treatment. During the treatment, your doctor may advise you for some laboratory tests to know the effects of the medicine in the body.

How Torisel Injection works

Torisel Kit is a kinase inhibitor. It shows its action by blocking the action of the abnormal protein that causes the multiplication of cancer cells. This may help slow the growth of tumors.

Quick tips

  • Torisel Kit is given for the treatment of kidney cancer.
  • Torisel Kit interferes with wound healing, so it is advisable to use with caution if you have any scheduled surgery.
  • Inform your doctor if you have diabetes as the use of Torisel Kit might increase the level of blood sugar. Report excessive thirst or any increase in the volume or frequency of urination.
  • Report immediately for the occurrence of infections or any new or worsening abdominal pain or blood in their stools after using Torisel Kit.
  • Your doctor will monitor your cholesterol level as Torisel Kit might increase the level of serum triglycerides and cholesterol.
  • The use of live vaccines, and close contact with those who have received live vaccines, while on Torisel Kit should be avoided.
