How to use Taxim O CV Dry Syrup
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Dissolve the powder in sterile water. Shake well and use. Taxim O CV Dry Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How Taxim O CV Dry Syrup works
Taxim O CV Dry Syrup is a combination of two medicines: Cefixime and Clavulanic Acid. Cefixime is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Cefixime against bacteria.

No Taxim O CV is only indicated to treat bacterial infections. It does not treat viral infections (such as common cold or flu).
Q. How to take the Taxim O CV?
Take this medication by mouth with or without food as directed by your doctor, usually once a day. If you are consuming chewable tablets, chew thoroughly and then swallow. Continue to use this medicine until the full prescribed amount is finished, even if symptoms disappear after the few days.
Q. Does the use of Taxim O CV is contraindicated in impaired renal function?
Taxim O CV should be used with particular care in the presence of severely impaired renal function. Dose modification is advised for patients with moderate or severe renal impairment.
Q. What is Clostridium Difficile-Associated Disease?
Clostridium difficile is a common cause of hospital acquired infection, which produces a diarrhoeal disease that varies in severity from asymptomatic colonisation to severe diarrhoea and complicating colitis. It is associated with diarrhoea, fever, loss of appetite, nausea and stomach pain.
