Tamine 50mg Injection causes loss of consciousness which is reversible. It is administered by a doctor or a nurse in a hospital or clinal setting. You should not self-administer this medicine at home.

The most common side effects include rash, nausea, or vomiting. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or are suffering from severe heart disease or had a stroke recently or suffered serious head or brain injury. It is safe to use in breastfeeding mothers.

Also, inform your doctor if you are on any medications or have any known allergy to this injection before the start of the procedure. Driving should not be done as Tamine 50mg Injection may cause sleepiness and may impair your ability to think or react. It is also advised not to operate machinery because of these effects.

Tamine 50mg Injection is given as an injection into veins or muscles under the supervision of o doctor only.
It is suggested not to eat or drink anything up to six hours before the treatment.
Your doctor will monitor you regularly for blood pressure, pulse rate and heartbeat during the treatment.
It makes you feel sleepy. Do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how Tamine 50mg Injection affects you.
Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Breast feeding

Interaction with drugs

Taking Tamine with any of the following medicines can modify the effect of either of them and cause some undesirable side effects

Moderate

Memantine (Oral Route)

Do not consume Memantine with Ketamine. If concurrent use is essential, your doctor may monitor your treatment and adjust the doses as per the observations. Ketamine may reduce blood levels of Memantine.

Moderate

Dapoxetine (Oral Route)

Do not consume Dapoxetine with Ketamine. If concurrent use is essential, ensure a gap of at least 2 weeks between taking Dapoxetine and Ketamine. Watch out for symptoms of serotonin syndrome such as tremors, fever, diarrhea or agitation and consult your doctor if you experience them. Your doctor may monitor and adjust the doses as per the observations.

Alfuzosin (Oral Route)

Your doctor may discontinue Alfuzosin 24 hours before the surgery.

Moderate

Atracurium (Injection Route)

Your muscles may remain relaxed or weak for a longer than usual time. Your doctor may monitor your recovery phase. Ketamine may increase the side effects of Atracurium.

Benazepril (Oral Route)

If concurrent use is essential, talk to your doctor.
