You may feel sleepy, dizzy, faint, your eyesight may be affected or you may have a fit while taking Ruplast 30 Plaster and this may affect your ability to drive.

Kidney

CAUTION

Ruplast 30 Plaster should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.
Regular monitoring of kidney function test is advised while you are taking this medicine. Use of Ruplast 30 Plaster is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.

Liver

CAUTION

Ruplast 30 Plaster should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.

Taking Ruplast with any of the following medicines can modify the effect of either of them and cause some undesirable side effects

Does Ruplast 30 Plaster raise blood pressure?

In a few cases, Ruplast 30 Plaster may cause an increase in blood pressure. Before taking Ruplast 30 Plaster, you should inform your doctor if you have high blood pressure. Also, inform your doctor about the medicines that you might be taking for it. Doctors prescribe this medicine to people with high blood pressure only if the benefits outweigh the risks. In fact, patients with uncontrolled blood pressure should be very careful and should regularly monitor their blood pressure while on Ruplast 30 Plaster.

What happens if you take Ruplast 30 Plaster on an empty stomach?

Taking Ruplast 30 Plaster on an empty stomach may cause nausea, vomiting, upset stomach, burning sensation in food pipe, and stomach pain. Therefore, Ruplast 30 Plaster should be taken with a glass of water either with meals or just after meals. Your doctor may also recommend taking an antacid with Ruplast 30 Plaster to avoid stomach upset.

Can you drink alcohol with Ruplast 30 Plaster?

If you are taking high doses of Ruplast 30 Plaster or a long-term treatment or both, then you should restrict or avoid alcohol. The reason being, taking both of them together increases your chances of ulcers and bleeding. It may also result in holes in the stomach and intestine (gastrointestinal perforation). These are serious side effects of Ruplast 30 Plaster which may be life-threatening. Discuss with your doctor if you are not sure.

Can I take Ruplast 30 Plaster during pregnancy?

Avoid taking Ruplast 30 Plaster during pregnancy as it may put your pregnancy and your unborn baby at risk. There have been reports of miscarriage and defects in the heart of the baby. But, if it is necessary to take it, then your doctor may prescribe a low dose for the shortest duration. This is applicable for the first 6 months of pregnancy. Ruplast 30 Plaster should not be given during the last 3 months of pregnancy as it may cause various defects in the baby and may also prolong labor.

Can Ruplast 30 Plaster make you sleepy?

Yes, Ruplast 30 Plaster may cause sleepiness. It may also cause dizziness, visual disturbances, drowsiness, fits, and spinning sensation. Do not drive or operate heavy machinery if you experience these symptoms. Consult your doctor if you are not sure.

How long can you take Ruplast 30 Plaster?

Take Ruplast 30 Plaster only as long as advised by your doctor. Do not take it for longer than the recommended period of time. Long-term treatment with Ruplast 30 Plaster and at high doses can cause an increased risk of heart attack, stroke, ulcers, bleeding, or holes in the stomach and intestine. These symptoms can occur at any time without warning.
