Rupacet Tablet should be taken with or without food. The dose may vary depending on what you are taking it for. Take it as it has been prescribed by your doctor. You may need this medicine only on days you have symptoms, or you may need to take it every day to prevent symptoms from happening. If you stop taking it earlier than advised, your symptoms may come back. This medicine is generally very safe.

Some common side effects of this medicine include dizziness, headache, sleepiness, dry mouth, fatigue, and weakness. Taking Rupacet with any of the following medicines can modify the effect of either of them and cause some undesirable side effects

Thalidomide (Oral Route)

If concurrent use is essential, watch out for symptoms of Thalidomide side effects such as drowsiness, excessive sedation, tiredness, dizziness or slurred speech and consult your doctor if you experience them. It is advised to avoid driving or undertaking other tasks requiring skill and alertness.

Azithromycin (Oral Route)

Do not take Rupatadine with Azithromycin.

Azithromycin (Injection Route)

Do not take Rupatadine with Azithromycin.

Clarithromycin (Oral Route)

Do not consume Rupatadine with Clarithromycin. If concurrent use is essential, watch out for symptoms such as headache, dizziness, dry mouth, fatigue, tiredness, nausea or abdominal pain and consult your doctor if you experience them. Clarithromycin may raise blood levels of Rupatadine.
