Role 0.5mg Tablet is used in the treatment of Parkinson's disease and restless leg syndrome.

Headache, Dizziness, Fainting, Sleepiness, Vomiting, Weakness, Nausea, Edema, Abnormality of voluntary movements, Dyspepsia, Hallucination, Confusion, Viral infection.


How to use Role Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Role 0.5mg Tablet is to be taken with food.

Role 0.5mg tablet works by increasing the action of dopamine, a chemical messenger that is needed to control movement in the brain.

  • Do not use ropinirole, if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to ropinirole or any of the ingredients in the medicine.
  • Patient taking ropinirole are advised to exercise caution while driving or operating machines as it can cause excessive sleepiness.
  • Avoid taking ropinirole if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
  • Do not take ropinirole, if you have severe heart problems; serious mental health problem; experienced unusual urges (like excessive sexual behavior or gambling etc.); undergoing hormone replacement therapy.

Role 0.5mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Role 0.5mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.

Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Role 0.5mg Tablet is probably usafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.

Role 0.5mg Tablet suppresses serum prolactin and may interfere with breastfeeding.
Role 0.5mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or
decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Role 0.5mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients wi
th severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Role 0.5mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Use of Role 0.5mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with the severe liver disease.
