Rioci 2mg Tablet can be taken with or without food. Take it regularly and take it at the same time each day to help you remember. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Do not stop taking the medicine suddenly without talking to your doctor.

Common side effects of this medicine include headache, indigestion, dizziness, nausea, diarrhea, hypotension, vomiting, anemia, gastroesophageal reflux, and constipation. Avoid driving or doing anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Generally, most of its side effects usually resolve on their own and do not need any medical attention. However, you should consult with the doctor if you are bothered by any of the side effects.

Before using this medicine, let your doctor know if you have any preexisting medical conditions. Let your doctor also know about all the other medicines you are taking. Do not take Rioci 2mg Tablet if you are also taking a nitrate medicine such as nitroglycerin to treat high blood pressure or heart disease.

Can Rioci 2mg Tablet be taken with other blood-pressure or heart medicines?

No. Rioci 2mg Tablet must not be used with nitrates, nitric-oxide donors, or PDE-5 inhibitors such as sildenafil or tadalafil, because the combination can cause dangerously low blood pressure or fainting. Always tell your doctor about every medicine you take.

What serious side effects of Rioci 2mg Tablet should I watch for?

Serious side effects of Rioci 2mg Tablet include severe bleeding (such as coughing up blood), extremely low blood pressure, dizziness, fainting, or signs of lung bleeding. Get medical help right away if you notice any of these.

Can Rioci 2mg Tablet increase the risk of bleeding?

Yes. People with pulmonary hypertension already have a higher bleeding risk, and Rioci 2mg Tablet can make this worse, especially if you take blood thinners. Notify your doctor immediately if you experience nosebleeds, coughing up blood, or unusual bruising.

Is Rioci 2mg Tablet safe for patients who have had lung bleeding before?

No. Rioci 2mg Tablet should be avoided in patients who have a history of serious hemoptysis (coughing up blood) or those who have had bronchial-artery embolization, because they are at high risk for severe or fatal bleeding.

Can Rioci 2mg Tablet cause low blood pressure?

Yes. Because Rioci 2mg Tablet works by relaxing blood vessels, it can sometimes lower blood pressure too much, leading to dizziness or fainting. Your doctor may adjust your dose if you already have low blood pressure or are taking other blood-pressure-lowering medicines.

Does cigarette smoking affect how Rioci 2mg Tablet works?

Yes. Smoking reduces Rioci 2mg Tablet levels in the body by about 50 to 60 percent, making it less effective. If you smoke, your doctor may need to change your dose or, better yet, help you quit.

Can people with liver or kidney disease use Rioci 2mg Tablet?

Rioci 2mg Tablet is not recommended for people with severe liver problems (Child-Pugh C) or severe kidney impairment (creatinine clearance < 15 mL/min). These conditions can cause the medicine to build up in the body and increase side-effect risks.
