Side Effects of Rasagin are Joint pain, Insomnia (difficulty in sleeping), Dyspepsia, Influenza like symptoms, Depression, Cough, Peripheral edema.

How to use Rasagin Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Rasagin 0.5 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

  • Rasagin 0.5 mg Tablet can make you dizzy or lightheaded, especially when you suddenly stand up from sitting or laying down.
  • Let your doctor know if you are also taking medicines for depression or mood disorders.
  • Do not stop taking Rasagin 0.5 mg Tablet suddenly. Sudden stopping may cause confusion, stiff muscles and a high fever.
  • As a precaution, foods high in tyramine (eg. aged cheeses, air-dried meats, soy sauce, tap/draft beers and red wines) should be avoided when taking Rasagin 0.5 mg Tablet, as it may cause an unsafe rise in your blood pressure.

Rasagin 0.5 mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Rasagin 0.5 mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
It is not known whether Rasagin 0.5 mg Tablet alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
Rasagin 0.5 mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Rasagin 0.5 mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

My father is suffering from Parkinson's disease from last 3 years.From June 2016 we have changed the doctor and she is suggested to take syndopa plus ,syndopa Cr and amantral.from last 14 days ,my father's behaviour suddenly changed,mood has changed.his behaviour becomes suspesious about us.he was denying to take the medicine and become violent.so we admitted him in hospital.our neurologist suggested that he may have schizophrenia has he is having psychotic history.may be because of that he is behaving like this.so now we have psychiatrist treatment also with it.i am really confused.is he suffering because of Parkinson's or he is really having psychological problem.please guide me
