Protobid Plus Tablet is used in the treatment of abdominal pain and diarrhoea
Nausea, Dryness in mouth, Metallic taste, Vomiting, Diarrhoea, Stomach pain, Flatulence, Sleepiness, Weakness, Nervousness, Headache, Dizziness, Blurred vision.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Protobid Plus Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Protobid Plus Tablet is a combination of four medicines: methylpolysiloxane, dicyclomine, diloxanide and tinidazole. Methylpolysiloxane is a defoaming medicine which relieves bloating. Dicyclomine is an antispasmodic which works by relaxing the muscles in your stomach and gut (intestine). It stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms). In doing this, it relieves cramps, pain, bloating, and discomfort. Diloxanide is combined with tinidazole in case of severe intestinal infections. Tinidazole is an antibiotic which kills bacteria and other infectious microorganisms by damaging the DNA.
