Uses of Panzop Tablet

Panzop 40 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (acid reflux) and peptic ulcer disease.

How to use Panzop Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Panzop 40 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Panzop Tablet works

Panzop 40 mg Tablet is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps in relief of acid related indigestion and heartburn.

Panzop Tablet related warnings

Panzop 40 mg Tablet is probably safe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Panzop 40 mg Tablet should be used with caution during lactation. Breast feeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.
Panzop 40 mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, drowsy or affect your vision. Do not drive until your vision is clear.
Panzop 40 mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Panzop 40 mg Tablet is recommended.
However, the use of Panzop 40 mg Tablet is not advised along with other medicines used for the treatment of Helicobacter Pylori infection.
Panzop 40 mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Panzop 40 mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

What if you miss a dose of Panzop Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Panzop 40 mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

  • Take it one hour before the meal, preferably in the morning.
  • It is a well-tolerated medicine and provides relief for a long time.
  • Inform your doctor if you get watery diarrhea, fever or stomach pain that does not go away.
