P Cin 400mg Tablet should be used in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. It should be taken with food, preferably at a fixed time. Avoid skipping any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose. Simply take the next dose as planned.

You may experience nausea, headache, and dizziness as side effects of this medicine. These are usually temporary and resolve on their own. Consult your doctor if they bother you or persist for a longer duration. Diarrhea may also occur as a side effect but should stop when your course is complete. Inform your doctor if it does not stop or if you find blood in your stools.

You should not take this medicine if you are allergic to any of its ingredients. Rarely, some people may have a severe allergic reaction that needs urgent medical attention. Signs of this include rash, swelling of the lips, tongue or face, shortness of breath, or breathing problems. Special care should be taken in people with kidney problems while taking this medicine.

Taking P Cin with any of the following medicines can modify the effect of either of them and cause some undesirable side effects

Cholera Vaccine (Inactivated) (Oral Route)

Do not consume Cholera Vaccine (Inactivated) two weeks before and at least 10 days after consuming Pefloxacin. Please consult your doctor. Pefloxacin may reduce the efficacy of Cholera Vaccine (Inactivated).

Purified Vi Polysaccharide Typhoid Vaccine (Injection Route)

Pefloxacin may reduce the efficacy of Purified Vi Polysaccharide Typhoid Vaccine. Pefloxacin may reduce the efficacy of Purified Vi Polysaccharide Typhoid Vaccine.

Moderate

Aminophylline (Oral Route)

If concurrent use is essential, your doctor may monitor your treatment and adjust the doses as per the observations. Pefloxacin may raise blood levels of Aminophylline.

Mycophenolate mofetil (Oral Route)

Your doctor may monitor the effects of Mycophenolate mofetil along with your overall treatment and adjust the doses as per the observations. Pefloxacin may reduce blood levels of Mycophenolate mofetil.

Tizanidine (Oral Route)

Do not consume Tizanidine with Pefloxacin. If concurrent use is essential, watch out for symptoms such as breathlessness, fatigue, drowsiness, sedation or faintness or vomiting and consult your doctor if you experience them. They may monitor and adjust the doses as per the observations. Pefloxacin may raise blood levels of Tizanidine.
