It can be taken with or without food, but it is better to take Nimodec 10 mg infusion at a fixed time.
Taking Nimodipine with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.

Nimodec 10 mg infusion may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

    Nimodec 10 mg infusion is used in the treatment of subarachnoid haemorrhage

    How it works

    Nimodec 10 mg infusion is a calcium channel blocker. It blocks the action of calcium on the heart and blood vessels. This lowers the blood pressure, abnormally fast heartbeat and reduces strain on the heart following a heart attack.

    Common side effects

    Ankle swelling, Headache, Dizziness, Nausea, Abdominal pain, Palpitations, Edema, Muscle cramp, Sleepiness, Fatigue, Flushing (sense of warmth in the face, ears, neck and trunk)

    • You may get a headache that lasts for a short time, after starting Nimodipine. This should become less noticeable after a few days.
