Mapcin RD Oral Suspension is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. This medicine may also cause dizziness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can worsen your dizziness. Lifestyle modifications like having fiber-rich diet, increase fluid intake and regular exercise can help you to get better results.
Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding. You should also tell your doctor if you have any kidney or liver diseases so that your doctor can prescribe a suitable dose for you. - Diarrhea can cause water loss and electrolyte imbalance. Drink plenty of fluids especially ORS (oral rehydration solution) to help keep you hydrated.
- Take light meals and avoid fatty, spicy, or heavy food.
- Do not drink alcohol while taking and till 4 days after taking this medication.
- Do not use Mapcin RD Oral Suspension if you have blood in your stool or if you are severely constipated.
- Consult your doctor if your diarrhea lasts for more than 48 hours.
