How to use Juliana Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Juliana Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Juliana Tablet works

Juliana Tablet is a combined oral contraceptive pill. It works by preventing the release of egg (ovulation) and affecting sperm movement in the womb to prevent its union with the egg. It also changes the lining of the womb and renders it unsuitable for pregnancy.

Alcohol
CAUTION
Takind Desogestrel with alcohol may cause minor drug interactions which may not be clinically relevant in all patients.
Pregnancy
CAUTION
Juliana Tablet is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Human and animal studies have shown significant adverse effects on the foetus. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
CAUTION
Juliana Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Nonhormonal and progestin-only contraceptives are preferred in breastfeeding women, especially during the first 4 weeks postpartum
Driving
SAFE
Juliana Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Kidney
There is limited information available on the use of Juliana Tablet in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
CAUTION
Juliana Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Juliana Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Juliana Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.

  • Do not use Juliana Tablet if you are obese, over 35, smoke, on prolonged bed rest, or have a history of blood clots.
  • Stop taking this medicine and inform your doctor immediately if you notice unexplained swelling and pain in your limbs, shortness of breath, chest pain, severe headache, or changes in vision. These could be symptoms of a blood clot in a vein.
  • Stop taking Juliana Tablet and inform your doctor immediately if you notice your skin and whites of the eye turning yellow (jaundice), severe stomach pain, severe depression or if you think you could be pregnant.

Yes, femilon is a good method for contraception. You should take 1 tab daily at a fixed time for 21 days. After a gap of 1 week you can start the next pack. Don't miss any dose. Rest you can discuss with your.

you can take an I pill within 72 hrs on ur act. but u ve to remember it is only 90% effective. no medication is 100% effective. and u can not take I pills more den once as it is high dose progesterone and repeated doses causes cycle disturbances and unpredictable ovulation and increases chancea of unwanted pregnancy so please shift to a permanant method of contraception.

Q. Can the use of Juliana cause nausea and vomiting?

Yes, the use of Juliana can cause nausea and vomiting. Taking it with milk, food or with antacids can prevent nausea. Avoid taking fatty or fried foods along with this medication. In case of vomiting, drink plenty of water or other fluids by taking small frequent sips. Talk to your doctor if vomiting persists and you notice signs of dehydration, like dark colored and strong-smelling urine and a low frequency of urination. Do not take any other medicine without speaking to a doctor.

Q. What is the recommended storage condition for Juliana?

Keep this medicine in the container or the pack it came in, tightly closed. Store it according to the instructions mentioned on the pack or label. Dispose of the unused medicine. Make sure it is not consumed by pets, children and other people.
