Ivdapt 350mg Injection is usually only given in the hospital for treating serious bacterial infections of the blood, heart, skin and soft tissues.
It is given by a drip into a vein (intravenous infusion).
Your doctor may monitor the health of your muscles before you start treatment and frequently thereafter.
Diarrhea may occur as a side effect but should stop when your course is complete. Inform your doctor if it doesn't stop or if you find blood in your stools.
Discontinue Ivdapt 350mg Injection and inform your doctor immediately if you get any unusual tingling, burning or numbness of the hands or feet, tenderness, weakness or cramps.

Taking Ivdapt with any of the following medicines can modify the effect of either of them and cause some undesirable side effects

Severe

Cholera Vaccine (Inactivated) (Oral Route)

Do not consume Cholera Vaccine (Inactivated) two weeks before and at least 10 days after consuming Daptomycin. Please consult your doctor. Daptomycin may reduce the efficacy of Cholera Vaccine (Inactivated).

Severe

Purified Vi Polysaccharide Typhoid Vaccine (Injection Route)

Daptomycin may reduce the efficacy of Purified Vi Polysaccharide Typhoid Vaccine. Daptomycin may reduce the efficacy of Purified Vi Polysaccharide Typhoid Vaccine.

Aceclofenac (Oral Route)

Careful consideration is advised when taking Daptomycin with Aceclofenac. Aceclofenac may slow down the removal of Daptomycin from the body.
