Uses of Itrafaze Tablet

Itrafaze 200 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of fungal infections. It is used to treat fungal infections of the mouth or vagina (thrush), skin and other parts of the body such as finger and toenails.

How to use Itrafaze Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Itrafaze 200 mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
If you are taking oral solution, it should be taken one hour before any food or drink.

Itrafaze 200 mg Tablet is an antifungal medication. It kills fungi by destroying the fungal cell membrane. This treats your infection.

Lactation

Itrafaze 200 mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Driving
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Itrafaze 200 mg Tablet can sometimes cause dizziness, blurred/double vision or hearing loss. This may affect your ability to drive.
Kidney
There is limited information available on the use of Itrafaze 200 mg Tablet in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
There is limited information available on the use of Itrafaze 200 mg Tablet in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.
Inform your doctor if you develop signs of jaundice like yellowing of eyes and skin, itching, and clay colored stools while taking this medicine.

What if you miss a dose of Itrafaze Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Itrafaze 200 mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
