Take it as it is prescribed to get the most benefit. Do not take more or for longer than needed as that can be dangerous. Intap 75mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data suggest dose adjustment may not be needed.

Use of Intap 75mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.

Interaction with drugs

Taking Intap with any of the following medicines can modify the effect of either of them and cause some undesirable side effects
Life-threatening

Naltrexone (Oral Route)

Do not consume Naltrexone with Tapentadol; watch out for symptoms such as breathlessness, increased heart rate, or headache. Naltrexone may reduce efficacy of Tapentadol.
Severe

Alprazolam (Oral Route)

If concurrent use is essential, watch out for symptoms of Alprazolam side effects such as drowsiness, excessive sedation, tiredness, dizziness or slurred speech and consult your doctor if you experience them. They may adjust the dose of Alprazolam as per the observations. It is advised to avoid driving or undertaking other tasks requiring skill and alertness.
Severe

Alprazolam (Injection Route)

If concurrent use is essential, watch out for symptoms of Alprazolam side effects such as drowsiness, excessive sedation, tiredness, dizziness or slurred speech and consult your doctor if you experience them. They may adjust the dose of Alprazolam as per the observations. It is advised to avoid driving or undertaking other tasks requiring skill and alertness.
Severe

Chlordiazepoxide (Oral Route)

If concurrent use is essential, watch out for symptoms of Chlordiazepoxide side effects such as drowsiness, excessive sedation, tiredness, dizziness or slurred speech and consult your doctor if you experience them. They may adjust the dose of Chlordiazepoxide as per the observations. It is advised to avoid driving or undertaking other tasks requiring skill and alertness.

Clobazam (Oral Route)

If concurrent use is essential, watch out for symptoms of Clobazam side effects such as drowsiness, excessive sedation, tiredness, dizziness or slurred speech and consult your doctor if you experience them. They may adjust the dose of Clobazam as per the observations. It is advised to avoid driving or undertaking other tasks requiring skill and alertness.

Yes. If you take Intap 75mg Tablet too much or for a long time, it may become habit-forming (causing mental or physical dependence) or cause an overdose. So it is important to take it only as directed by your doctor.
Symptoms of an overdose include difficult, fast or slow, or troubled breathing, or pale or blue lips, fingernails, or skin. Call your doctor right away if you notice these symptoms.
It is advisable to avoid alcohol, driving, or indulging in any hazardous activity while taking this medicine.
There are many alternatives to this medicine. However, you should always check with your doctor or pharmacist before making any change to the dosage or type of medicine you take.
Since Intap 75mg Tablet is an opioid medicine, it's important you dispose of any unwanted medicine safely as it can lead to inappropriate use. Simply remove the medicine from their original packet and mix them with something undesirable, such as used coffee grounds, dirt, or cat/dog litter. This makes the medicine less appealing to children and pets and unrecognizable to someone who might intentionally go through the trash looking for drugs. After this put the mixture in something you can close (a re-sealable zipper storage bag to prevent the drug from leaking or spilling out. Finally, throw the bag in the garbage.
