Uses of Icubac Injection
ICUBAC 1000 MG INJECTION is used in severe bacterial infections. It is used in infections of various body parts like skin and soft tissues, urinary tract, blood, brain and lungs (pneumonia).

How Icubac Injection works
ICUBAC 1000 MG INJECTION is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing them from forming the bacterial protective covering which is needed for them to survive.

Pregnancy
PROBABLY SAFE
ICUBAC 1000 MG INJECTION is probably safe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
ICUBAC 1000 MG INJECTION is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Driving
It is not known whether ICUBAC 1000 MG INJECTION alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
Kidney
CAUTION
ICUBAC 1000 MG INJECTION should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of ICUBAC 1000 MG INJECTION may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
SAFE
ICUBAC 1000 MG INJECTION is safe to use in patients with liver disease. No dose adjustment of ICUBAC 1000 MG INJECTION is recommended.

  • Discontinue ICUBAC 1000 MG INJECTION and inform your doctor immediately if you get a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or have difficulty in breathing.

Icubac is active against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, aerobes as well as anaerobes. It is effective against enterococcus, streptococcus, and methicillin-sensitive Staphylococcus aureus (MSSA), but not effective against listeria or methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus.
