How to use Grafnos Capsule

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Grafnos 2.0 Capsule may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Avoid Grafnos 2.0 Capsule with high-fat meals such as olive oil, nuts & seeds (Brazil nuts), dark chocolate, butter and meat.

How Grafnos Capsule works

Grafnos 2.0 Capsule is an immunosuppressant. It works by suppressing your body’s immune response following transplant of an organ (eg. liver, kidney, heart). This helps your body to accept the new organ as if it were your own.

Pregnancy

Grafnos 2.0 Capsule may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
CAUTION
Grafnos 2.0 Capsule is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Driving
Grafnos 2.0 Capsule may make you feel dizzy, drowsy or affect your vision. Do not drive until your vision is clear.
Kidney
CAUTION
Grafnos 2.0 Capsule should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Grafnos 2.0 Capsule may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
CAUTION
Grafnos 2.0 Capsule should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Grafnos 2.0 Capsule may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

What if you miss a dose of Grafnos Capsule?

If you miss a dose of Grafnos 2.0 Capsule, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

  • It may take 3 to 4 months for the medication to work. Keep taking it as prescribed.

  • Your doctor may get regular blood tests done to check the levels of blood cells in your blood. Inform your doctor if you experience unexplained bruising or bleeding, sore throat, mouth ulcers, fever, or general illness. 
  • Your doctor may monitor your kidney function regularly. Drink 8 to 10 glasses of water per day to help with your kidney function.
  • Do not stop taking Grafnos 2.0 Capsule without talking to your doctor first.
