Fendyn 180mg Tablet is an anti-allergy medicine used to treat chronic idiopathic urticaria, a condition that causes red, itchy skin welts lasting more than six weeks. It works by blocking histamine, a substance that causes allergy symptoms.


Take Fendyn 180mg Tablet as prescribed, preferably with a meal. The dose you receive may depend on the severity of your condition and how you respond to the medication. Keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. Do not stop taking it without consulting your doctor.


The most common side effects are headache, drowsiness, dizziness, and nausea. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Consult your doctor if any of these side effects do not resolve or persist for a longer duration.

Quick tips

  • Avoid drinking fruit juices (such as apple or orange juice), as they may affect the absorption of this medicine and reduce its effectiveness.
  • Avoid using antacids 30 minutes before or after taking this medicine, as they can make it harder for your body to absorb the medicine.
  • Never give this medicine to someone who appears to have a similar illness. It should be taken only if prescribed by a doctor.
  • Do not drink alcohol while taking this medication, as it may increase the risk of sleepiness.
  • Stop taking Fendyn 180mg Tablet at least 3 days before undergoing an allergy test, as it can affect the test results.
  • If you notice a rapid heartbeat, irregular pulse, or a sensation of palpitations, stop taking the medication and contact your doctor immediately. These symptoms may indicate a cardiovascular side effect that requires medical attention.
