Femiprost 125 mcg Injection stimulates contraction of the uterine muscles, helping to control post-delivery bleeding from the placenta.

Pregnancy
WEIGH RISKS VS BENEFITS
Femiprost 125 mcg Injection may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
CAUTION
Femiprost 125 mcg Injection should be used with caution during lactation. Breast feeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.
Driving
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
As Femiprost 125 mcg Injection may make you lose consciousness, feel dizzy or drowsy and this may affect your ability to drive
Kidney
CAUTION
Femiprost 125 mcg Injection should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Femiprost 125 mcg Injection may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Femiprost 125 mcg Injection is not recommended in patients with active kidney disease.
Liver
CAUTION

  • It is not advisable to drive or operate machinery soon after taking this injection as it may cause dizziness or drowsiness.
  • Carboprost should not be used for induction of labour.
  • Carboprost should not be administered intravenously.
