Liver

CAUTION

Esonine Tablet ER should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.
Use of Esonine Tablet ER is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease as the data available in these patients is very limited.

Interaction with drugs

Taking Esonine with any of the following medicines can modify the effect of either of them and cause some undesirable side effects

Cholera Vaccine (Inactivated) (Oral Route)

It is recommended to wait at least 3 months after discontinuing a high dose of Budesonide before taking Cholera Vaccine (Inactivated).

Severe

Posaconazole (Oral Route)

Do not consume Budesonide with Posaconazole. If concurrent use is essential, watch out for symptoms such as moon-face, flushing, increased bruising or acne and consult your doctor if you experience them. They may adjust the dose of Budesonide accordingly. Posaconazole may raise blood levels of Budesonide.

Severe

Posaconazole (Injection Route)

Purified Vi Polysaccharide Typhoid Vaccine (Injection Route)

It is recommended to wait at least 3 months after discontinuing a high dose of Budesonide before taking Purified Vi Polysaccharide Typhoid Vaccine.

Ceritinib (Oral Route)

Ceritinib may raise blood levels of Budesonide. Ceritinib may raise blood levels of Budesonide.
