  • You may get a dry cough while using Enalapril. Report to your doctor if there is a persistent cough.
  • Enalapril may cause the level of potassium in blood to go up. Avoid taking potassium supplements and potassium-rich foods such as banana and broccoli.
  • Inform your doctor immediately if you have rapid swelling of the lips, tongue, and throat that may affect breathing.
  • Inform your doctor if you have ever been diagnosed with kidney or liver problems.
  • Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to conceive or breastfeeding.
  • You shouldn’t take Enalapril if you’re pregnant or plan to become pregnant. Enalapril may cause birth defects or be fatal to your unborn baby.

Do not chew, divide or crush the tablets, swallow it whole with water. Avoid taking hydrochlorothiazide at bedtime because it makes you urinate more often. It is recommended to take in early morning. Consult your doctor if you experience any of these side effects: dryness of mouth, thirst, weakness, lethargy, drowsiness, restlessness, confusion, muscle pains or cramps that doesn't go away. Do not start or continue the tablet:

  • If you have diabetes or increase lipid levels (cholesterol).
  • If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.

Get up slowly from lying position to avoid dizziness. This is more common when hydrochlorothiazide is taken for the first time.Use sunscreen for photosensitivity. Avoid drinking alcohol, OTC medicines unless recommended by doctor.
