How Celtere Injection works

Celtere 80 mg Injection is an anticancer medication. It works by interfering with the microtubule structures which help the cancer cells to divide and multiply. This slows the growth of cancer cells and eventually kills them.

Pregnancy
WEIGH RISKS VS BENEFITS
Celtere 80 mg Injection is unsafe to use during pregnancy.
There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
UNSAFE
Celtere 80 mg Injection is unsafe to use during lactation. Data suggests that the drug may cause toxicity to the baby, or the mother is suffering from a condition in which breastfeeding is not advisable.
Driving
It is not known whether Celtere 80 mg Injection alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
Kidney
SAFE
Celtere 80 mg Injection is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Celtere 80 mg Injection is recommended.
Liver
CAUTION
Celtere 80 mg Injection should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Celtere 80 mg Injection may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

  • Celtere 80 mg Injection is an anti-cancer medication used for the treatment of breast cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, prostate cancer and cancers of head and neck.
  • It is given as an intravenous (IV) injection into your vein, usually over 1 hour and every three weeks.
  • Do not take Celtere 80 mg Injection if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Use reliable methods of contraception to prevent pregnancy while taking this medicine.
  • Your doctor may get regular blood tests done to monitor your blood cells and liver function during treatment with this medicine.
  • Inform your doctor if you notice unexplained bruising or bleeding, sore throat, mouth ulcers, high temperature (fever) or other signs of infection.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have sudden weight gain or if you have swelling in your arms and legs that doesn't go away.
