How to use Cacef CV Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Cacef CV Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Cacef CV Tablet works

Cacef CV Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Cefpodoxime and Clavulanic Acid. Cefpodoxime is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria in the human body. Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Cefpodoxime against bacteria.

Pregnancy

Driving
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Cacef CV Tablet may cause side effects such as allergic reactions, dizziness or fits that may make you unfit to drive.
Kidney
Cacef CV Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Cacef CV Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
There is limited information available on the use of Cacef CV Tablet in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.
