Overview

Introduction

Opox CV 200 Tablet is a combination of two medicines. It is prescribed to treat respiratory tract infections. It treats the infection and prevents further infections by killing the microorganisms.

Opox CV 200 Tablet is a prescription medicine. It can be taken with or without food. Take the medicine in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Do not consume more than the recommended dose, as this may have harmful effects on your body. A missed dose should be taken as soon as you remember. The treatment should not be interrupted without consulting your doctor, this may affect the potency of the medicine.

Some of the side effects of Opox CV 200 Tablet are nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain, etc. You may also feel dizzy, thus it is advised not to drive or operate machinery. To overcome dizziness you should drink plenty of fluid. If any of the side effects get aggravated, contact your doctor immediately. In cases of severe liver or kidney disease, consult your doctor before you start with the treatment.

How Opox CV Tablet works

Opox CV 200 Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Cefpodoxime Proxetil and Clavulanic Acid. Cefpodoxime Proxetil is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Cefpodoxime Proxetil against bacteria.
