BUDEcort CR Capsule belongs to a group of medicines called steroids. It is used to treat moderate to severe ulcerative colitis. It helps relieve pain and inflammation caused by the condition.

BUDEcort CR Capsule can be taken with or without food. To get the maximum benefit of the medicine, take it regularly and at a fixed time each day. Do not discontinue taking the medication without talking to your doctor, as it may worsen your symptoms.

BUDEcort CR Capsule may cause some common side effects, such as mood changes or stomach upset. Taking BUDEcort CR Capsule can also make it harder for you to fight infections. Tell your doctor if you have any signs of infection, such as fever or sore throat.

How BUDEcort Capsule CR works

BUDEcort CR Capsule is a steroid. It works by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers that cause the inner surface of the large intestine (colon and rectum) to become ulcerated and inflamed (swollen), resulting in pain.

My child is one year and 4 months old. He's an athematic and is on prolonged budecort 0.5mg twice daily since the age of 5 months. I time and again have to five him asthalin too as he suffers from cough often. I just wanted to know if prolonged budecort is harmful and does of effect a child's growth or not. He's extremely hyper and active. Is it a side effect?? Also I've been giving him mantair 4m since past few months. All medicines are as prescribed by his pediatric.

my daughter suffering from hearvy clod and not able to take breath properly . i want to give below nebulization combination for her. So which combination will be better budecort 0.5 mg/Levolin 0.63mg or budecort 0.5 mg/Duolin 2.5mg

What if I forget to take a dose of BUDEcort CR Capsule?

If you forget a dose of BUDEcort CR Capsule, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take the next scheduled dose in the prescribed time. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed one as this may increase the chances of developing side effects.
