How to use Brisval Tablet ER

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Brisval 500 mg Tablet ER is to be taken with food.

How Brisval Tablet ER works

Brisval 500 mg Tablet ER is an antiepileptic medication. It controls seizures or fits by decreasing the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.

Brisval Tablet ER related warnings

Brisval 500 mg Tablet ER may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.
Brisval 500 mg Tablet ER is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Human and animal studies have shown significant adverse effects on the foetus. Please consult your doctor.
Brisval 500 mg Tablet ER is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
Brisval 500 mg Tablet ER may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Brisval 500 mg Tablet ER is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Brisval 500 mg Tablet ER may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

What if you miss a dose of Brisval Tablet ER?

If you miss a dose of Brisval 500 mg Tablet ER, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
