Bricacef 200 mg/125 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Cefpodoxime and Clavulanic Acid. Cefpodoxime is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria in the human body. Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Cefpodoxime against bacteria.

Bricacef 200 mg/125 mg Tablet is probably safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Bricacef 200 mg/125 mg Tablet is safe to use during lactation.
Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
Do not drive unless you are feeling well. Bricacef 200 mg/125 mg Tablet may cause side effects such as allergic reactions, dizziness or fits that may make you unfit to drive.
Bricacef 200 mg/125 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Bricacef 200 mg/125 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
